The Barber foundation played a wonderful role in making Tefillin accessible to a person of lower income like myself, so that I may please HaShem and observe Torah. I spent many years of my life as an atheist, then, several years back, I began to believe in HaShem. I spent years studying, but was never very observant as there is no Shul in my area, or at least there was not, until recently. I met a wonderful Rabbi who opened a new Shul nearby, and taught me how to wear Tefillin. It was, and is, the most truly Jewish I’ve ever felt. He then put me in contact with this foundation, and now I have my own pair of Tefillin, thanks to their efforts!
