Laying tefillin each morning by making it part of my morning ritual strengthens my beliefs in being Jewish and brings me closer to Hashem. It also offers me the opportunity to honor my Dad who passed away several years ago from a serious illness.

Receiving a pair of tefillin when I was Bar Mitzvahed was not the norm, but now that I attend Shabbat services on a regular basis I feel complete and offer my sincere gratitude to the Barber Foundation in helping me secure a pair of tefillin I can now call my own.
